ToneReply ("we", "our", or "us") operates a subscription-based SaaS Chrome extension integrated with Gmail. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

• Email address (for authentication and account management)
• Subscription and billing status (provided by Paddle)
• Usage data related to AI feature consumption (credits usage only)

2. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. We do not store or process your payment card information. Paddle may collect billing details in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

3. AI Processing

Text submitted for AI processing is transmitted securely to third-party AI providers for the sole purpose of generating requested outputs. We do NOT store, log, or retain the content of your emails after processing. All email data is processed in real-time and discarded immediately after generating a response.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract (to provide the Service)
• Legitimate interest (service improvement and fraud prevention)
• Legal obligation (tax and accounting compliance via Paddle)

5. Data Retention

We retain account-related data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. AI input text is not stored permanently.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We may use minimal technical cookies required for authentication and service functionality. We do not use invasive advertising trackers.

8. International Transfers

As a global SaaS provider, data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection. Appropriate safeguards are implemented where required.

9. Gmail Data Access

AI Email Pro interacts with Gmail content only when the user explicitly activates a feature (such as "Reply", "Summary", or "Suggestions"). The extension does not access or process email data in the background.

10. Chrome Extension Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum permissions required to function, including access to Gmail pages and secure API communication.
