ToneReply is an AI email assistant that works directly inside Gmail. It helps you write smarter replies, summarize long threads, detect commitments, scan links for threats, and analyze your inbox — all without leaving Gmail.
How does it work? +
Once installed, ToneReply adds AI-powered buttons directly inside your Gmail interface. Click any button to analyze the email, generate a reply, or summarize the thread. No copy-paste, no switching tabs.
Does it work on Gmail mobile? +
ToneReply is a Chrome extension and works on Desktop Chrome only. Gmail mobile app and mobile browsers are not supported. This is a limitation of Chrome extensions — not specific to ToneReply.
Which browsers are supported? +
ToneReply works on Google Chrome (desktop). Support for other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave) may work but is not officially guaranteed.

What is the Inbox Digest? +
Inbox Digest lets you select multiple emails and get an AI summary of all of them at once — priority, action required, and what to ignore. It filters out newsletters and promotions automatically. FREE: 3 BASIC: 15 PRO: Unlimited
What is the Daily Digest? +
Daily Digest is a Pro-only feature that automatically analyzes your inbox every morning at a time you choose — without clicking anything. If Gmail is open, the digest appears automatically. If not, you get a Chrome notification. PRO only
Does it fix grammar and spelling? +
Yes — ToneReply automatically enables browser spellcheck in every Gmail compose window. Spelling errors get underlined in red as you type. Right-click any underlined word to see corrections. This works in all languages with no credits used.
What is the Commitment Tracker? +
While you're composing an email, ToneReply automatically detects promises and deadlines in your text — like "I will send you the report by Friday" — and alerts you before you hit send. It supports multiple languages including English, Arabic, French, Spanish, and more.
How many languages are supported? +
ToneReply detects the language of each email and responds in the same language automatically. AI features support all major languages. The Commitment Tracker specifically supports English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Turkish.
Pricing
Is there a free plan? +
Yes. The Free plan gives you 50 credits when you first sign up, then 3 credits per day after that. This lets you try all features before committing to a paid plan.
What is an AI credit? +
One credit = one AI action (one reply, one summary, one analysis, etc.). Credits reset monthly for paid plans. The Free plan gets 3 credits per day.
What's the difference between Basic and Pro? +
Basic ($5/mo) — 1000 credits/month, perfect for daily email use. Includes Smart Reply, Tone Refinement, Summary, Action Plan, Link Checker (50 links), Inbox Digest (15 emails).
Pro ($12.99/mo) — 3000 credits/month, built for power users. Everything in Basic plus Full Thread Analysis, Unlimited Link Checker, Unlimited Inbox Digest, and Daily Digest (auto morning summary).
Is the $5 Basic price permanent? +
Early adopters keep their price forever. The price will increase for new users in the future — but if you subscribe now, your $5/month is locked in for life as long as you keep your subscription active.
Is there a yearly plan? +
Yes. Both Basic and Pro offer yearly plans at a significant discount compared to monthly billing. You can choose your billing preference on the
pricing page.
Billing & Subscription
How do I cancel my subscription? +
You can cancel anytime from the ToneReply popup inside Gmail — click Manage to access the billing portal. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. No questions asked.
What payment methods are accepted? +
ToneReply uses Paddle as the payment provider. All major credit and debit cards are accepted, as well as PayPal. Paddle handles all transactions securely — ToneReply never stores your payment details.
Is there a refund policy? +
Yes. You can request a full refund within
14 days of your purchase. Contact us at
support@tonereply.com and we'll process it promptly.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime? +
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the billing portal. Changes take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle depending on the direction of change.
Privacy & Security
Do you read or store my emails? +
No. ToneReply does not store your email content. Email text is sent to our AI API for processing and immediately discarded. We never train AI models on your emails, and we never sell your data to third parties.
What data does ToneReply collect? +
We collect only: your email address (for your account), subscription status, and usage statistics (number of AI actions used). No email content is stored. Full details in our
Privacy Policy.
Is ToneReply safe to use with work emails? +
Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Email content is processed in real-time and never stored. We follow strict security practices including rate limiting, brute-force protection, and secure authentication.
Does ToneReply have access to my entire Gmail? +
No. ToneReply only processes the text of the email you're currently reading or composing — and only when you click an AI button. It does not scan your inbox in the background or access emails you haven't opened (except for Inbox Digest, which you manually trigger).
